I’ve known Emily for a few years now, and she’s been a friend of Jacqueline’s since childhood. So, when she asked for pictures of her and Brad, her long-distance boyfriend, I was super excited. They met at Rose-Hulman, an engineering school in Indiana, but now Brad is working in Louisiana and they don’t get to see each other very often. I love that I was able to do a session with them when they had some time together, so now they’ll have concrete memories to look back on. We meandered around the Schmidt Field park area in East End to capture these pictures; one of my favorite parts of this shoot was watching their personalities come through the camera.

Their casual clothes made a great, lighthearted shoot. It was fun and flirty. For their couple’s love photography session, there was a lot of tickling, laughing, and cuddling. I didn’t do a lot of directing for this session, but rather, I focused on letting their personalities work together to make a great shoot.
