I’m excited you’ve chosen VLP to do your photography session!  The first step is to contact me using the contact button in the top right, or you can directly email me at victoria [@] victorialivingstonphotography [.] com.  I’ll get back to you within half a day (though it’s usually only a couple of hours) with a few potential dates.  We can set up when you would like to do your over the phone or in-person consultation.  After your session is booked, I will mail out your Welcome Packet which includes the session contract for you to sign.  Through our correspondence, we can talk about what type of location you’re looking for, the sort of pictures you’d like, or what outfits would work best.  The more I know about you, the better I can reflect that through the camera, which means more personalized and awesome pictures for you!

We’re ready to roll!  I don’t like to limit your creativity, so feel free to bring multiple outfits; keep in mind that sessions usually run about an hour, so I don’t recommend more than three changes of clothing.  You’re also more than welcome to bring any special mementos or props that you wish to have included in pictures.  For the sessions, my wife, Jacqueline, accompanies me; she’s great at keeping props/purses/children organized.  You can read more about us here.  The session is designed to accommodate you –whether that “you” encompasses one newborn or four generations of family; I don’t believe in extra fees for “extra” people.  As for location, I have lots of ideas and I am always open to your suggestions, as well.  I enjoy shooting as naturally as possible.  This means not only taking advantage of natural light, but your personality, too.

So, now what?  After your session, I’ll start editing your pictures.  I fully edit every picture you receive to make sure it’s the highest quality.  Shortly after your photo session, keep an eye on your email, as I always send out a teaser picture from the day’s shoot. Within one to two weeks, I’ll contact you to schedule a meeting to review your pictures in either your home or a local coffee shop.  I’ll come with a proof book (a simple spiral bound book of your gallery), and we can look over the images and talk about what you’d like on your walls or in your files.

If you have any questions that haven’t been answered, I’m just an email away!
